What to do when the “hustle” is not paying. #3 is very important!

We should not lie, and we should not steal, there are days when you just want to cry and give up because nothing makes sense anymore. You cannot understand why you are putting in so much effort and there’s little or nothing to show for it…

Trust me, I can relate to this phase! I am at this point as well, so this post is speaking to me as it to you.
I believe we both would find this helpful. So in no particular order, here goes:

1.Take a step back to reevaluate.
A wise man said, “it is madness to keep doing something the same way and expect a different result.” You may need to change a step, process, or the entire strategy.

But you can only do that when you take a pause and observe your process. A lot of the time, we may not be able to identify these flaws by ourselves. We may need more than just our eyes to see, so asking for help might just be the way to go ( check my last post here)

2. Join communities of like-minded great people.

The place of people cannot be overemphasised. Having a group of like-minded people with similar (or even different) visions, drive and hunger to succeed and be great can make all the difference as you journey on your path as well.

On days when you’re tired and frustrated, they’d be there to hold you up and motivate you.

3. Learn the business of your skill.

OMG, this is a game changer! There’s the skill, and then there’s the business of the skill. You have to learn the business aspect of your skill, or else you’d be putting in a lot of effort and the ROI (Return On investment) would not be giving what it should give. It’s not just about having the skill and working for long hours.

Omooo, wetin dey occur?

If you’re not channeling your energy into the important stuff, you’ll be frustrated.

4.Have mentors.

There really is nothing new under the sun, only different approaches. There are people who have walked the walk you’re on, and succeeded.

It is wisdom to identify them, learn from them as that would shorten the amount of time you’d have probably spent to get to where they are. You also get to avoid potholes they went through. A win, if you ask me.

5. If it’s what you really want, you’d have to show up.

There’d be days where the money won’t come in as much, or challenges yen por. You’d have to remind yourself of why you chose to start in the first place.

Of course there are a lot more that can be done to scale through this phase. Drop a comment if you’d like a second part. Don’t forget to clap 50 times if you enjoyed reading this. Make it a beautiful week ✨️
